GIFT WRAP, TEA PAINTING & DEADEYES

I feel like I haven’t blogged in a while. After rebuilding my site, spending time categorizing my past blog posts and learning my way around Corel Painter I guess I haven’t had much time for blogging. So this is just a quick post about stuff that’s been going on over the last month or so. First off, I got some goodies from Spoonflower. Here is my Princess Leia drawing as gift wrap. NEW TOOLS

  Yesterday I received a very welcome package at my door, my new Intuos5 by Wacom. New tools are always exciting but they usually take a bit of practice to get used to. PEACOCK INSPIRED FABRIC!

  I like to sew and I even worked in a fabric store for a short time in my teens so I’ve thought quite a bit about designing patterns for fabrics. LEIA PRINTS ARE HERE!

  The prints have arrived and are up for sale on my Etsy shop. I’m really happy with how they turned out and especially happy that they arrived 3 days early. And I’ve already sold a few so I’m feeling pretty stoked!  –S.

PRINCESS LEIA PRINT

    I have been working on this Princess Leia drawing for the last couple of weeks and I’m really excited to have it finished! Prints will be going up for sale (sans watermarks, of course) on my Etsy shop as soon as I get some proof prints done. The finished size will be about 6″ x 11″ and will come with a small card describing each element as well. A friend suggested it would look good as a t-shirt {Read More}

CADBURY’S 99

Anyone who grew up in the UK will know what a 99 is. It’s an ice cream cone made even better by sticking a Cadbury’s Flake in it. Yusss! I’ve been thinking a lot lately about things I miss about living in Scotland and I thought this would be a fun subject for some digital drawing. I did this using the track pad on my Macbook (I know!) so it’s not the best rendering but it was a fun little project to {Read More}
