So long, Weebly! Hello, WordPress!

In case you were wondering what the heck is going on here and why things don’t look quite right, I have spent the last few days rebuilding my website. I have to go through my blog and plug in all the missing images and add a few more things but for the most part I’m done and I’m really excited. I built a website!

Weebly is fine for throwing together a site easily, without any sort of know-how but I did start to feel its limitations after a year or so. WordPress is more complicated for people like me who have no real experience with it but I finally convinced myself that I just would be able to do it and I’m so glad I did. My brother found this tutorial for me on how to move blog content from Weebly over to WordPress to make the transition easier. I would be really bummed to have to copy and paste all of those posts by hand but thankfully I didn’t have to.

So if you’re out there and you have a Weebly site and are thinking about making the switch to a WordPress (I’m talking about a self-hosted WordPress site not WordPress.com) site of your very own, I highly recommend it. And if you have any questions, I wrote pretty much everything I did down, so just ask.
