If you’ve followed my work for a while, you’ll know I’m a huge fan of the Dragon Age games. Last night Bioware tweeted a teaser for the next game in the franchise, Dragon Age 4. And I totally missed it! My friend was texting me all about it and had to wait for me to catch up so we could pick apart any and all information we could glean from this teaser. In a blog post Mike Darrah, the Executive Producer, finally stated what fans have been speculating about for the last couple of years:

We have been working on a new Dragon Age™ game for quite a while now and I am pleased to finally tease the existence of this project!

Yay! I’m excited we finally got confirmation that a new Dragon Age game is on it’s way, even if we have no details as of yet. We can see one familiar character (trying not to spoil anything for newbies!) from Dragon Age Inquisition in the image they tweeted and they added #TheDreadWolfRises to the end of the clip which tells us this particular character will be a huge part of this game. This of course was hinted at in the end of the Trespasser DLC. I’d really love it if the next game is set in the Tevinter Imperium and I’m hoping that’s likely since we have heard so much about it in all three games.
