I happened upon Shane Smith’s Twitter profile a little over a month ago and I'm so glad I did! This guy is so talented and he's a nice guy to boot. I checked out his blog and just fell in love with some of his characters and his work for Carte Blanche Greetings just oozes cuteness.

Aren’t those guys great?! I really like how he has a little back story for each one. Shane’s also got some cool step-by-step tutorials on his blog (like how to recreate this Elvgren pin up!) and he shares other great info too (such as an in depth review of schoolism.com).

I’m definitely going to be checking in with Shane and his work in the years to come and I look forward to seeing what other lovely creatures are going to come out of his pencil.
