It’s probably no surprise that I’m into video games. One game I got completely addicted to recently is Kingdom Rush for the iPhone (there is also a Flash version of this game!). I'm usually an XBox 360 girl, but some of these iPhone games are amazing. This one really appealed to me because of how gorgeous the graphics are and how it has a nice mix of towers. Instead of just having the standard artillery towers, there's also barracks, mage towers, and ranged towers. You can upgrade the towers to make them stronger and bigger and once you've upgraded them enough you get to choose between two options. For instance the barracks train up 3 soldiers which start off with minimal armor then as the tower upgrades they become better equipped and then you can choose if you want them to be knights or barbarians. And it doesn't stop there, knights and barbarians have 3 upgrades you can purchase on top of that to have them do special moves or cast protective spells. 

There's also two additional options you can utilize during game play: you can summon villagers as reinforcements and there's also a fireball spell that comes in really handy when it looks like the creatures are going to get past your defenses. The creatures are really varied as well, there are goblins, spiders, necromancers, gargoyles, yetis, orcs, ogres, brigands, marauders and so much more. There's even a bonus 'Heroes' section where you can get one of six heroes to help you out. Those proved invaluable in finishing the last levels for me.

I had a lot of fun playing this game, but don't let the adorable graphics fool you, it's challenging. I rated this one five stars. I'm definitely going to keep an eye out for future games by Ironhide Game Studio.
